Featuring Horizon’s new advanced power package system, a 2025 PC68 will make her show debut alongside a brand new PC60 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Horizon Power Catamarans will showcase two of its PC models during the 65th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, scheduled for October 30 – November 3, 2024. A brand new PC60 featuring an on-deck master layout will be on display on the Face Dock, Slip 608 alongside a brand new, 2025 model year PC68. This is the first time a PC68 model will be showcased during the Fort Lauderdale show.
The newest model in a series lineup that includes the PC52, PC60 and larger custom models, the PC68 balances manageable length with interior volume and deck space. Boasting a 24ft 6in beam, the PC68 offers a spacious aft deck with dining that flows into the main salon, which is designed with a large galley to starboard and a lounge area with sumptuous seating forward to port. While the PC68 model is offered in either an Open Salon or On-Deck Master configuration, the latest model on display is designed with the latter, which, situated furthest forward, is bathed in light from panoramic windows. Steps within the master access a large ensuite with dual basins in the port hull. A convertible twin ensuite shares this hull aft, while the starboard hull houses a VIP king ensuite and a second convertible twin ensuite aft.
The PC68 is notable also for its innovative flybridge deck layout and its Portuguese Deck forward. The latest PC68 features a semi-enclosed flybridge with twin helm chairs, covered dining and seating areas and a dayhead. The tender is stowed on the boat deck aft, which is fitted with a bar and grill station and the aforementioned Portuguese Deck offers convertible lounging, seating or dining. Equipped with twin MAN i6 850hp engines, the PC68 enjoys a 1,850nm range at 9 knots.
Also on display will be the latest PC60 power catamaran, which was commissioned for experienced owners who thoroughly enjoyed their previous PC60 with an Open Salon layout. This new PC60 features an On-Deck Master configuration and, similar to the PC68, sees the VIP and twin cabins in the starboard hull with an additional twin and the master stateroom’s large ensuite in the port hull.
This powercat features an open flybridge with a helm chair bookended by raised settees forward, a wet bar aft to port and a raised dinette and wraparound settee to starboard. The spacious boat deck houses the tender when underway and provides plentiful space for entertainment or relaxation in the sun when the tender is launched.
Both of these new powercat models are also equipped with Horizon’s latest power package system, which marries a Victron phosphate battery with a Termodinamica variable speed air conditioning system for minimal generator usage and maximum efficiency. This system works in tandem to keep the interior cool, dry, and quiet for nearly 20 hours on battery power alone. Now offered as standard on all Horizon Power Catamaran builds, the new battery system has demonstrated an 84% improvement in energy efficiencies while offering many convenient “smart” features such as remote monitoring and auto generator start/stop.
