Horizon Yachts is delighted to announce the launch of the V68 Hull 12, a spectacular new build created in collaboration with acclaimed designer Jonathan Quinn Barnett. This exceptional vessel blends the opulence of a superyacht with the ease of an owner-operator model, making it the ideal choice for first-time buyers, families, and seasoned boaters alike.
“The reception of Horizon’s V Series in the U.S. market has been extraordinary, judging by the experience of our showcasing of the V77 CMY model at boat shows and during our Seattle Open House earlier this year,” said Roger Sowerbutts, Director at Horizon Yacht USA. “With a strong focus on developing new models and offering a wide range of customization choices, Horizon enables our clients to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that fully reflects their vision.
Wright Inspired
Drawing from the organic architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, this V68 creates a harmonious connection between nature and luxury. With a voluminous interior built on a 19’5” beam, she takes fue-inspiring sea views. Walnut interiors, bright open spaces, and an elegant color palette evoke warmth and a sense of tranquility. Light-colored materials augment the flow of natural light, rendering an airy ambience that feels both liberating and inviting.
Spacious living areas and wraparound side decks enhance the onboard experience. Offered with three or four stateroom configurations, including crew quarters for two aft of the engine room, flexibility is where the V68’s ingenious design comes to the fore. Signature features in the main deck include a plush salon with an L-shaped sofa and two armchairs bookended by large windows that offer panoramic sea views. Soft leather and light beige-gray material have an air of understated elegance and is melded with black lines that define the contours of the space.
Nestled between the forward dining area and the salon, the galley features a center island, wine cooler, and generous storage options. Its strategic location makes it as much a conduit for the movement of guests as a hub for culinary activities and lively interactions. Thick Cambria SummerhillTM quartz countertops pay tribute to the stacked slabs of the Fallingwater architectural motif, while soft hues create continuity with the adjacent lounge and dining areas. Framed by a Fenix Nero Ingo outline, the gray mirror and ceiling pendant light are presented like a work of art.
Forward, the U-shaped settee wrapped around the dining table forms a bright and inviting enclave, thanks to the abundance of natural light from the large windows that surround it. From the salon entrance aft, direct line of sight through these expansive front windows to the sea beyond is often the first striking impression that visitors have upon boarding.
Commanding Comfort
Descending to the lower deck, the three-stateroom layout consists of a full-beam master stateroom amidships, a twin cabin to starboard, and a VIP in the bow. Inside the master stateroom, rich-grained walnut finishes are complemented by dual closets and one walk-in closet behind the bed, ensuring ample storage. The master ensuite includes an oversized sink, two circular smart mirrors, and a rain shower with accompanying teak seat.
On the bridge deck, the helm station and enclosed skylounge form a cozy environment with two helm chairs forward and the remaining space comprising a secondary lounge, which facilitates the captain to engage in conversations with guests. The U-shaped sofa and Hi-Lo table can be converted into a bed, providing a quick retreat for rest and relaxation. For added convenience, a dayhead is located on the port side.
Horizon’s exacting interior design, materials, and quality standards continue on the boat deck, which serves as an outdoor entertainment area complete with a wet bar, fridge, and grill station. For a different vibe, head to the foredeck, where sun loungers and a dinette form a private terrace for basking in the sun and enjoying the gentle sea breeze.
Smooth Operator
Central to the V68’s design is its plumb bow, a distinctive element from Stimson Yachts’ hull design that contributes to a longer waterline and minimizes drag at lower speeds. Paired with twin Caterpillar C18 ACERT engines, the V68 offers impressive performance and outstanding stability. The wider hull beam improves maneuverability and guarantees a smooth ride even in difficult conditions.
Combining the attributes of a large yacht within a streamlined framework, Horizon’s V68 Hull 12 is just the right ticket for those seeking adventure without sacrificing style and comfort.
